Southern Live Oak Wellness (SLOW), LLC is seeking a dedicated and experienced Psychiatrist to join its behavioral health team in Dunwoody, Georgia. This role is ideal for a clinical leader who is passionate about providing high-quality, evidence-based psychiatric care in a collaborative treatment environment.

About the Role

The Psychiatrist plays a key leadership role in ensuring the safety, stabilization, and overall psychiatric well-being of clients. This position involves working closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive, individualized care across multiple levels of treatment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments
• Develop and oversee individualized treatment plans
• Prescribe, administer, and monitor psychotropic medications
• Provide ongoing psychiatric care for a range of mental health conditions
• Utilize evidence-based approaches to support recovery and stabilization
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for coordinated care
• Provide crisis intervention during acute episodes
• Support clients with developmental disabilities and special needs
• Maintain accurate and compliant medical documentation
• Communicate effectively with clinical staff using appropriate medical terminology

Clinical Expertise

Experience treating:

• PTSD
• Anxiety disorders
• Mood disorders
• Psychotic disorders

Strong skills in:

• Crisis management and stabilization
• Treatment planning and clinical decision-making
• Evidence-based psychiatric practices

Requirements

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Board Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatrist
• Active, unrestricted Georgia medical license
• Post-residency experience in psychiatry
• Strong knowledge of documentation and regulatory compliance
• Current CPR certification
• Clean background (no felony or substance-related convictions within the last five years)

Preferred

• Experience with developmental disabilities or special needs populations
• Experience in hospital or behavioral health treatment settings
