QUALIFIED MENTAL HEALTH PROFESSIONAL (QMHP-CS)

MBN Cares INC is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP-CS) to join its behavioral health team. This role focuses on providing direct care, counseling, and case management services to individuals experiencing mental health challenges.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans
• Provide individual and group counseling, including skill-building sessions
• Coordinate care with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Provide crisis intervention and safety planning
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with agency and state regulations
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, Medicaid, and licensing requirements
• Participate in staff meetings, supervision, and ongoing training
• Communicate effectively using appropriate medical terminology

Requirements

Education:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field

Licensure:

• Must meet QMHP eligibility requirements per state guidelines
• CANS and/or ANSA certification preferred
• Nurturing Parenting® Program Facilitator Training Certificate (NPP)

Experience:

• Experience working with individuals with mental illness, substance use disorders, or co-occurring conditions preferred

Skills:

• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Cultural competency and sensitivity to diverse populations

Other:

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree with clinical licensure (LPC, LCSW, LMFT) or working toward licensure
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus

Work Environment

• Community-based, outpatient clinic, or home-based setting
• May require travel to client homes or community locations
• Flexible schedule, including evenings or weekends

Compensation

$20 – $25 per hour

Full-Time
1099 (Independent Contractor)
