Rite of Passage is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join the medical team at the J. Walter Wood Residential Treatment Facility in Montgomery, Alabama.

Responsibilities

• Work as a member of the site medical team
• Provide general healthcare services for students and staff within the scope of your license
• Administer immunizations and assist with health maintenance activities including TB screenings, Hepatitis B, and flu vaccines
• Assist with training duties for site employees
• Educate students, staff, and the community on health topics including sports injury prevention, bloodborne pathogens, CPR, First Aid, and behavioral disorders
• Assist supervisors with programs addressing student healthcare needs
• Assist with ordering medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, and equipment
• Provide supervisors with information to monitor medical expenditures
• Ensure the safety, health, and welfare of staff and students at all times
• Serve as a positive role model and mentor for staff and students
• Maintain program standards and policies at all times
• Complete reports and documentation in a timely manner
• Attend required meetings including Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) meetings
• Participate in training and staff development programs
• Assist with compliance, quality improvement, and policy implementation

Requirements

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
• Ability to work as part of a healthcare team
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Commitment to working with youth in a residential treatment environment
• Ability to maintain compliance with program policies and healthcare regulations
